Get away from it all in this charming two-bedroom holiday home in the quaint village of Cawston, surrounded by the lush Norfolk countryside. The village is a great base for walkers, with quiet country lanes and footpaths to explore, as well as the long-distance Marriot’s Way. You’ll also be just 16 miles from the seaside resort of Cromer. In the evenings, read a book in the glow of the wood burner or sip a sundowner in the pretty cottage garden.
The annexe is set in the grounds of the owner’s home. The accommodation is arranged across one level, and carefully combines original features with contemporary furniture and accessories. The kitchen/diner is deceptively spacious, with plenty of worktop space and all the equipment needed for a self-catering break. Gather here, around the wooden dining table, for hearty breakfasts and delicious dinners together. A handy utility room sits just off the kitchen. After dinner, come together in the cosy lounge, where plump sofas sit around a roaring wood burner. This room is full of character, with a beamed ceiling and an exposed brick chimney breast. Two inviting bedrooms and a refreshing shower room complete the accommodation. Outside, an enclosed patio with furniture overlooks the magnificent floral displays of the owner’s garden (which you are also welcome to use).
The cottage enjoys a fantastic, central location with plenty to see and do nearby. Spend the day at the seaside at either Sheringham (15 miles) or Cromer (16 miles) on Norfolk’s north coast, or head east to explore Sea Palling or Winterton (both within 30 miles). Alternatively, enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the majestic waterways of the Norfolk Broads, just 17 miles from the cottage. Nearby attractions include the National Trust’s Blickling Estate (5 miles) and the North Norfolk Railway (12 miles).
