The area consists of Great Walsingham which is set in the countryside and Little Walsingham which is actually the larger of the two villages and has been a centre of pilgrimage since the 11th century with both Catholic and Anglican shrines. Excellent cycling and walking routes are to be found and Great Walsingham has a craft centre, with tea room, whilst Little Walsingham has a number of shops, including an award-winning farm shop as well as pubs and retuarants.
