Visit England Gold Award

Thornham is a quiet picturesque village that forms part of the conservation area on the North West Norfolk Coast. There is a wide sandy beach and a small harbour, both of which form part of a local nature reserve. There are some excellent pub/restaurants in the village one of which has won an award in 2010. The coastal town of Hunstanton is just four miles away, it has a sandy beach and many attractions for children. The Coast Hopper bus can take you to Wells, the RSPB reserve at Titchwell and villages including Brancaster and Burnham Market, an excellent opportunity to leave the car behind and enjoy the scenery.

This beautifully appointed property has been recently built to a high specification providing a most warm, comfortable and well-equipped place to stay. Features include a stylish sitting room, with verandah to take full advantage of the uninterrupted views towards the sea, a spacious kitchen/dining room and very attractively presented bedrooms and bathrooms. The village has several restaurants within easy walking distance.  Shop: 0.25 miles

This is our fourth visit and it is a truely fantastic place. The house was very clean upon arrival. Drive to Holme and visit the beach, there is nowhere like it!

Having had such a wonderful holiday here last August we had to return. We had another great week in Captains Cottage in a simply beautiful village. Loved the beach at Thornham and the many walks. Also recommend the excellent food at the Orange Tree pub.

The Horstead Family wrote
What a fantastic house in the most ideal location. We have had a brilliant few days and a much needed relaxing break. The house is perfect and the scenery delightful. Food at the Orange Tree was incredible as was the more traditional pub food at The Lifeboat. We have enjoyed early morning birdwatching walks and afternoon strolls along the beach at Weybourne, Old Hunstanton and Brancaster.
