Nestling in the heart of the village and set back from the lane, Goleby's Cottage is a cosy and comfortable detached holiday retreat with an enclosed peaceful garden. Providing character accommodation, it is well equipped for a pleasant stay at any time of the year. Pub: Greyhound 100 metres and Pleasureboat (with tearoom and village shop) 800m

Open Plan Living Area with Sitting Area attractively furnished with comfortable seating, widescreen TV, DVD player, Micro hi-fi with CD, FM , DAB, iPod dock and multi-fuel woodburner
Kitchen/Dining Area with oak dining table and seating, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer
Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, washbasin and wc

First Floor:

Bedroom 1 with an antique victorian brass and iron double bed, CD player with iPod dock
Bedroom 2 with twin beds, small TV/DVD player and iPod dock

 

Garden: Enclosed cottage garden, garden furniture and barbecue.
Parking: Roadside.
Heating: Woodburner and electric underfloor heating.
Pets: One small/medium-sized dog welcome but must be kept downstairs at all times.
Also Provided: Towels. Welcome basket, starter pack of fuel for woodburner and barbecue. Books and games. Telephone for incoming calls only. WiFi.
Notes:  The Pleasureboat Pub has opened a tearoom and village shop selling newspapers, milk, bread, fresh dairy and meats, sweets, tinned items and toiletries after 10am. The Hickling Barn (community centre) offers regular rural cinema nights and activities for villagers and visitors. Short breaks must start on a Saturday.  The week of 30th March is Price Band C.  Christmas tree and decorations can be provided for bookings between 22nd December and January 5th.

The village of Hickling is on the edge of Hickling Broad, which is the largest of the Broads and is popular for boating and windsurfing. The area is a haven for ornithologists, nature lovers and walkers, with beautiful countryside all around. Cyclists will love the quiet lanes, with a number of places offering cycle hire. Lovely sandy beaches can be found at Waxham and Sea Palling, which are just three miles away, and there is easy access to the whole of Norfolk's rich and diverse coastline. The village has two dog and family friendly pubs serving food and further facilities are a short drive away in Stalham.
