The small village of Banningham lies between Norwich and the coast. There is an attractive old pub in the centre with the market towns of Aylsham and North Walsham within three miles. The village offers a good base from which to visit many different parts of Norfolk including the beautiful coastline, the renowned Norfolk Broads and the fine city of Norwich. Local attractions include fishing lakes and The Bure Valley narrow gauge steam railway, where cycle hire is also available.

A charming conversion of a small country Methodist chapel. Largely open-plan, the original high ceiling has been retained with a large central hearth feature providing a focal point. Modern comforts mix with reminders of the former use of the building, such as a harmonium, chapel chairs and a pew. In the house are welcome touches for walkers and cyclists such as binoculars, walking sticks and even a sauna. The Weavers Way long distance footpath is nearby. Shop: 2 miles Pub: 1 mile

Coming back from a just too short stay at the Chapel we'd like to inform you that we enjoyed our stay very much. The chapel is very tastefully converted and you'll find there everything you need. Having two bathrooms and a very well stocked kitchen is a real plus. Not to mention the sauna. Beds were very comfy. You feel the private touch in every detail. Ideal starting point for touring North Norfolk. We would certainly recommend this cottage.
