A charming conversion of a small country Methodist chapel. Largely open-plan, the original high ceiling has been retained with a large central hearth feature providing a focal point. Modern comforts mix with reminders of the former use of the building, such as a harmonium, chapel chairs and a pew. In the house are welcome touches for walkers and cyclists such as binoculars, walking sticks and even a sauna. The Weavers Way long distance footpath is nearby. Shop: 2 miles Pub: 1 mile

The small village of Banningham lies between Norwich and the coast. There is an attractive old pub in the centre with the market towns of Aylsham and North Walsham within three miles. The village offers a good base from which to visit many different parts of Norfolk including the beautiful coastline, the renowned Broads and the fine city of Norwich. Local attractions include fishing lakes and The Bure Valley narrow gauge steam railway, where cycle hire is also available.
