East Barsham is a small village nestling in quiet, rolling countryside close to the small market town of Fakenham and with excellent access to the North Norfolk Coast at Wells and Holkham. The area is renowned for its bird watching opportunities with Cley and Blakeney easily accessible. National Cycle routes 1 & 2 will take you through some super countryside and villages. With the coast so close and countryside on the doorstep this is a good location if you enjoy walking. The village pub, The White Horse, is within easy walking distance of the cottage. Restaurants, shopping facilities and farmers markets can be found at Fakenham.
                                          
Old Beans Cottage is an 18th century former washhouse which has been converted into a studio cottage, furnished to an exceptional standard. This period dwelling overlooks water meadows and woodland. It is not unusual to see barn owls and snipe - the owner has erected various bird boxes to encourage nesting.
