The accommodation is on one level and is spacious, attractively furnished and well equipped.  The rear of the property overlooks fields and open countryside and this really is a tranquil location for a relaxing holiday with easy access to the many attractions this part of the county has to offer. The small village of Claxton lies between Rockland St Mary and Loddon in the Yare Valley and the Broads National Park. Surrounded by rolling countryside, quiet lanes and National Cycle Route 1, it is a super area to explore on cycles or on foot. The River Yare, Rockland  Broad, Surlingham Marsh Nature Reserve, Whitlingham Country Park and Wheatfen all offer excellent opportunities for nature lovers to see wildlife such as deer and otters, winter and summer migratory birds, unusual dragonflies and butterflies. The Wherrymans Way, the long distance path which runs from Norwich to Great Yarmouth, The Suffolk Heritage Coast at Southwold and Lowestoft's blue flag sandy beach are easily accessible as is the historic cathedral city of Norwich.
