The village of Catfield is an excellent base for exploring the Norfolk Broads and the excellent beaches of the North and East Coast. The sandy beach of Sea Palling is a mere four miles away with Cromer, Sheringham and Great Yarmouth just a short drive. The Broads offer many experiences, whether exploring nature reserves, cycling the quiet lanes, taking a stroll, sailing, fishing or birdwatching. The nearby town of Stalham is just two miles away offering a supermarket and a range of small shops, with the market town of North Walsham with its greater range of shops and sports facilities ten miles away. The village itself has a shop and pub, as does Ludham village close by.
