Our Community Involvement
In 2003 and 2004 NCC pledged to support the aims of the Rural Housing Trust and donated in excess of £35,000 to this charity. We received national acclaim for our work with Rural Housing Trust.
Wanting to do more for the community and the beautiful area you and everyone else enjoy visiting we are delighted to now be working with Wheatfen – one of the last tidal marshes in the country. We will be raising money in the coming years to help with the upkeep and other ventures of this beautiful broad – where you can enjoy a plethora of rare and wonderful wildlife species. To find out more visit www.wheatfen.org.uk.
NCC is also actively involved in Business in the Community (BitC). Our Managing Director, Richard (see Richards profile), is also involved in the local community as a Board Member of the Norwich Theatre Royal, The Princes Trust, The Forum Trust and the Norwich Cathedral Campaign. He is also Chair of Governors at the Earlham Early Years Centre. Richard Ellis's work with BitC has included support for the market town initiative for Aylsham.
NCC is actively involved in its hometown, Reepham, through the Chamber of Commerce and The Reepham Rotary Club. The company was instrumental in obtaining Broadband for Reepham in 2003.
NCC staff have participated in Business Mentor Days organised by Reepham High School.
On a smaller scale, NCC will continue to support local charities on an individual basis.
