Brampton, near Aylsham

My favourite place in Norfolk has to be the small village of Brampton, near Aylsham.

It's strange to feel so much a part of a place where you have never actually lived. Yet, I do. Some of my first memories are of running through long grass in the churchyard that overlooks rolling fields (yes, some fields do actually roll in Norfolk!), bursting with excitement hunting for Easter eggs down my aunt's rambling lane under the warmth of the spring sun, and enjoying waist expanding Sunday roasts with our rather large family tightly packed round my grandparent's dining table.

Now, many years on, it's still the place where I choose to go for strolls by the river, for raucous bonfire night parties, the quaint village fete and to watch young lambs making an appearance into the world. I also decided to choose the church as the venue for my wedding day (yes, my husband's hooked too). I think my fondness of Brampton goes to show that family and loved ones are what make happy memories, and that's the reason you should come with your family to Norfolk for a holiday.
