The golf course was constructed in 1932, designed by the late James Braid. The club itself was formed in 1933. It is an attractive parkland course with excellent drainage and a great reputation for being in immaculate condition all year round, particularly the greens. It's fairly flat terrain is easy on the legs and the many trees and excellent views over the surrounding countryside make it an extremely pleasant and popular place to play golf.
