  • The Lord NelsonThe Lord Nelson is situated in Nelson’s Birthplace, Burnham Thorpe. (Nelson was born in The Parsonage in 1758, son of the Vicar Edmund Nelson.) Built in 1637 as an Ale House, The Lord Nelson was called The Plough until 1798 when its name was changed to The Lord Nelson, the first pub in England to do so, in honour of his victory over the French at The Battle of the Nile.
