Favourite Place: Cley-Next-The-Sea
One of my favourite places in Norfolk is Cley Next The Sea, a perfect place to visit at any time of year. Cley Next The Sea is a picturesque village on the North Norfolk coast, situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Well known for its Windmill and magnificent church, the area is also home to Cley marshes nature reserve, which is internationally known as a premier bird watching site. The marshes and shingle beach are perfect in the summer, for long leisurely strolls with a picnic. During the winter is it equally pleasant to wrap up warm and have a brisk walk, followed by a drink in front of a roaring fire in one of the two pubs.
Cley is a haven of activity in the summer and boasts a brilliant delicatessen where you can purchase your picnic, a local craft gallery, a famous smoke house, a bookshop, a couple of tea shops and two country pubs.
