Every September the Food Festival comes to Norwich, where a number of local producers showcase their wares. They hold a great number of events each year from sausage competitions, cookery demonstrations, and free tasting of a variety of items including ice-cream, real ale, fudge, cider and chutneys.

Norwich Fringe Festival

The annual Fringe Festival, held over sixteen days in May, is a celebration of local artists, comedians, musicians, writers, and other grassroots talent. The festival events are held in a number of locations across Norwich from subways, alleys, and other obscure venues. Many of the events offer free entry.

Norfolk Showground

Norfolk Showground

The Showground is home to the Royal Norfolk Show, which is the largest two day agricultural show held in the UK. They also hold a number of events, including a great fireworks display in November, flower shows, toy collector fairs, dog shows, music festivals, and car boot sales.

The Playhouse

The Playhouse

The Playhouse is a small theatre which hosts a variety of performances all year round from music, dance, ballet, and cabaret, to comedy, drama, and children’s shows. Not limited to local artists, they present international music stars, top stand-up comedians, and critically-acclaimed drama companies. The Forum

The Forum

In the heart of Norwich, this impressive glass building is home to a number of events and exhibitions including book and antique fairs, art exhibitions, street theatre, and children’s workshops. They are also home of the Comedy Club, a monthly stand-up event which is great fun. Some events are free, including access to their Fusion Digital Gallery.
