The beautiful City of Norwich

One of the most vibrant and attractive cities in England, Norwich offers plenty to do and see for visitors of all ages. If you are staying in one of our Norwich holiday homes then daytime is a shopper's dream...two bustling shopping centres - Castle Mall and Chapelfield - house all the big name brands while a colourful market contains a variety of smaller retailers and food outlets. Between all these, a mixture of shopping streets and cobblestone lanes are home to an eclectic selection of independent stores and cafes... these are the places to see and be seen, and every taste is catered for.

The impressive Forum is worth a visit - there is always something happening in this stunning building which combines library, Tourist Information Centre and exhibition space, while its trendy cafe-bar is testament to Norwich's thriving al fresco culture. At night time our Norwich holiday accommodation is perfect for visiting a variety of cosmopolitan restaurants, chic bars and traditional English pubs as they vie for business with a choice of cinemas, nightclubs, live music venues and theatres. And now, of course, Delia Smith's beloved Norwich City Football Club are in the premier league.

Fashionable and fast-paced, Norwich is a surprisingly cosmopolitan city full of contemporary features - but however you spend your time here, reminders of its ancient heritage abound. Head to the Saxon market area of Tombland to see the stunning Cathedral, or to Castle Meadow where the beautifully preserved Norman castle - now an important museum containing an outstanding collection of fine art, archaeology and natural history - dominates the skyline.
