Norfolk Countryside and Villages - The Great Outdoors

Tiffey Valley Trail

Tiffey Valley Trail

This circular walk alongside the peaceful River Tiffey starts in Wymondham and goes as far as Kimberley. There is a marshy grassland area with a raised walkway and a great variety of plant species, and there are walks across fields often full of sheep. The return journey takes you along the outskirts of the historical, picture-postcard, market town of Wymondham, past the bakery if you fancy a treat!

Marriots Way

Marriots Way

This footpath, with large parts in place of disused railway track, goes on for miles, twenty-one to be exact. You can cycle down it, and it is home to a diverse range of wildlife. It runs between Hellesdon and Aylsham, passing through Costessey, Drayton, Taverham, Attlebridge, Swannington, and Reepham amongst other places. Reepham is a nice place to stop off for a bite to eat in V’s café which does great food.
