Mid-Norfolk Railway
Running between the delightful market town of Wymondham and Dereham, the Mid-Norfolk Railway is a volunteer-ran railway which operates every weekend plus bank holidays and has a number of events for children over Easter and Christmas, with a number of games and competitions. There is a nice walk along the Tiffey Valley alongside the station and track at the Wymondham end.

Dinosaur Adventure Park
What kid wouldn’t want to visit here! The Dinosaur Adventure Park in Lenwade is an exciting adventure for children of all ages. The many things to do include the Dinosaur Trail, Raptor Races, Deer Safari, ‘Arachnophobia’ and the Fun Barn. The Secret Animal Garden lets children (and adults) meet donkeys, goats, wallaby and other animals.

The Animal Ark
Fantastic for kids and adults alike, The Animal Ark allows you to meet and handle animals, and take part in a number of outdoor activities. They have a good selection of animals including Meer Kats, Otters, Emu, Goats, and Tortoise. Activities include climbing walls, zip wires and go karts!

Go Ape
In the heart of Thetford is Go Ape, a fantastic ‘tree-top adventure’ full of zip lines. The longest measuring an impressive 192 metres. There are also a number of tree-top high wires, walkways, bridges and tunnels. Full safety equipment and a safety briefing are included. Children must be aged 10+ and it is advisable to book in advance.

Banham Zoo
Banham Zoo is a great place for couples or for the whole family. The Zoo also has special events happening at certain times of the year, Halloween, Christmas etc. Also if you visit on a Sunday you get the bonus of an extra-large car boot sale taking place from around 7.30am til early afternoon.
